Ministry: Russia’s grain exports fall 1.3% in Jul 1–Mar 7

MOSCOW, Mar 15 (PRIME) -- Russia’s grain exports fell 1.3% on the year to 35.3 million tonnes from July 1, 2018 through March 7, 2019, the Agriculture Ministry said in a statement on Friday quoting data of the Federal Customs Service.

The price for Russia’s fourth-class wheat fell by 1.3% over the week to U.S. $232 per tonne as of March 6.

Russia’s combined grain exports amounted to 52.422 million tonnes, including 40.449 million tonnes of wheat, in the previous agricultural year that started on July 1, 2017 and ended on June 30, 2018. The ministry expects Russia’s grain exports to reach 42 million tonnes, including 37 million tonnes of wheat, in the current agricultural year that started on July 1, 2018 and will end on June 30, 2019.
